Carifika Global Code of Conduct

​  Purpose

​  ​This Code of Conduct establishes the guiding principles, standards, and commitments for all members of the Carifika Global ​  Community. It exists to uphold our collective dignity, dismantle white supremacy in all its forms, protect our cultural integrity, ​   build generational wealth, and promote unity and liberation in every aspect of life — socially, economically, culturally, and ​  spiritually.

Our Core Commitments


As members of Carifika, we pledge to:

  • Treat each other with unwavering respect, empathy, and solidarity.
  • Actively dismantle systems and behaviors rooted in white supremacy, colonialism, and anti-African.
  • Resolve conflicts constructively, seeking solutions that strengthen our collective power.
  • Reject grudges and divisiveness that weaken us internally.
  • Support, protect, and uplift each other’s aspirations, businesses, families, and communities.
  • Preserve, protect, and promote our culture, values, and identity for future generations.
  • Build alliances with other marginalized communities that share our struggle against global oppression.

 

Our Conduct: How We Behave 


  • Show respect, kindness, and integrity toward one another.
  • Confront and reject internalized racism, colorism, and classism.
  • Approach disagreements with solutions-oriented dialogue and restorative practices.
  • Refrain from insults, gossip, or divisive talk that undermines unity.
  • Assume good intentions but hold each other accountable when actions harm our mission.
  • Stand united against manipulation, infiltration, and co-optation by forces aligned with white supremacy.

 

Our Support: How We Empower One Another


We commit to building, defending, and sustaining African excellence by:

In Business & Enterprise:

  • Prioritizing the growth of African-owned businesses regionally and globally.
  • Creating cooperative economies that reduce dependence on oppressive systems.
  • Establishing funds, banks, and credit unions owned and governed by our communities.
  • Promoting fair trade among African and Caribbean nations and the global African diaspora.
  • Providing training, mentorship, and access to capital to break cycles of economic exploitation.

In Community Development:

  • Developing schools, cultural institutions, and media that free us from colonial narratives.
  • Preserving and teaching our true histories, languages, and Indigenous knowledge.
  • Building community-owned infrastructure for food security, housing, and technology.

Our Governance: How We Protect Our Community


  • Commit to African self-determination, governance, and autonomy.
  • Reject any external control or influence that dilutes our purpose or aligns with white supremacist structures.
  • Protect our institutions from infiltration by hostile interests.
  • Maintain strong, transparent leadership with clear community accountability.
  • Develop global legal and policy strategies to defend our rights and lands.

Our Family Values: How We Love


  • Honor and uphold the Native Afrikan Family while respecting diverse family structures that serve our liberation.
  • Practice and celebrate our heritage through language, rituals, food, clothing, and art.
  • Show deep reverence for elders and ancestors, while uplifting youth as leaders.
  • Teach our children truthfully about history, colonialism, resistance, and self-love.
  • Support strong family bonds, peaceful co-parenting, and shared responsibility for all children.

Our Living Standards: How We Build Strong Homes


  • Promote intergenerational households to transfer wisdom and wealth.
  • Create family systems where everyone contributes to collective security and prosperity.
  • Resolve conflicts through restorative dialogue guided by elders and trained mediators.

Our Responsibility: How We Care for Each Other


  • Ensure no child, elder, or vulnerable member is abandoned.
  • Care for our elders with respect and keep them rooted in family and community life.
  • Build networks of mutual aid to protect community members from systemic neglect.

Community Safety: How We Defend Our Spaces


  • Prioritize community-led safety models to replace oppressive policing structures.
  • Organize watch systems to defend against threats — internal or external.
  • Train members in conflict de-escalation, emergency response, and self-defense when needed.
  • Establish protocols to expose and expel individuals or entities who align with oppressive forces.

Liberation Advocacy: How We Expand Our Power


  • Advocate locally, regionally, and globally for policies that dismantle systemic racism and return stolen resources.
  • Build alliances with other oppressed people to challenge global white supremacy together.
  • Invest in international legal frameworks that protect our communities from exploitation.

Enforcement and Accountability


All members must actively uphold this Code. Elders, community leaders, and members share responsibility for:

  • Educating each other about the roots and impacts of white supremacy.
  • Mediating disputes and repairing harm with restorative approaches.
  • Holding each other accountable through transparent processes.
  • Taking firm, collective action against betrayal, infiltration, or sabotage. 

Commitment to the Future


This Code of Conduct is a living shield. It will evolve as we grow in wisdom and strength. We pledge to refine it continuously, guided by our mission to protect, uplift, and advance the global African community and to defeat white supremacy for good.
